Regardless of age—male adult, female adult, young adult, student and even children, tens or hundreds of members gave up their holidays and participated in the event. The members’ busy hands cleaned up litter which had been buried under fallen leaves and garbage which had blocked the drain for a long time. The passers stopped walking and showed their interest, and some even helped the members, being moved by their enthusiasm despite the bad smell.

In Ahmedabad, India, public officials and owners of shops, who had seen the members’ cleanup which had been carried out constantly, supported them with cleaning equipment and beverage. In Lima, Peru, where hundreds of members participated in the cleanup, the local residents gave them ice water to cheer them working in the hot weather.

In some regions in Korea, public officials including heads of boroughs and chiefs of villages participated in the cleanup, so it extended to a private-public cooperative community cleanup. The head of Yangcheon borough valued the cleanup of the members in unity, and gave thanks to the members for spreading the love of Christ through volunteer services.

The Passover is the day just before Jesus died on the cross; it is the day to commemorate the sacrifice of Christ by eating bread and drinking wine, which represents eating Christ’s flesh and drinking His blood giving all human beings forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Apostle Paul urged the members to “let us keep the Passover with sincerity and truth,” following the will of Christ (1 Corinthians 5:7-8).
