2004 Sacred Assembly of the Feast of Trumpets

The autumn feasts, which announce the harvest season, have already begun. On September 16 (July 1 by in the sacred calendar), 'God's consecrated ones who made a covenant with God' (Ps 50:5) gathered together in Zion, asking for the Holy Spirit that God would pour out during the feasts.

God gave His people the seven kinds of feasts of three times, which were all originated from the history of the Exodus. One of the feasts is the Feast of Trumpets. Moses went up to Mount Sinai and stayed there forty days and forty night. While he was on the mountain, the people of Israel committed the idolatry of a golden calf.

When Moses came down from the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hands, he saw the people committing sin. He became very angry and threw down the tablets of stone and broke them at the foot of the mountain. Then there was a great rebellion among the Israelites; about 3,000 men died. After that Moses prayed for the people and they repented of their sins. God heard their prayer and showed His favor to them; He told Moses to come back up on Mount Siani again.

He received the Ten Commandments a second time and came down from the mountain on July 10, which was instituted as the Day of Atonement. The Feast of Trumpets is the beginning of the ten days of repentance in preparation for the Day of Atonement. This feast starts with the blowing of trumpets.

Our sins have separated us from God. From this day began the Prayer Weeks of the Day of Atonement. Through worship services, brothers and sisters prayed in repentance, asking God to forgive them for being proud by forgetting that they are sinners. And they truly gave thanks to God for allowing them to be at peach with Him and come near to Him through the feast.

God Himself set us an example of serving and humility, saying, I am among you as one who serves." We shall resemble Christ to become gentle and humble, blowing the gospel trumpet more loudly Then we may abundantly bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit pleasing to God in this autumn season.
