On November 4, the 36th dedication service in 2015 alone was held in the Donghae Church, which is located in Bugok-dong, Donghae, Korea.

The church has three floors above the ground and one basement; it looks neat and solid, and the low stone wall surrounding the main building and its wings looks friendly. As the church is adjacent to diverse institutions and facilities such as Donghae Public Bus Terminal, Express Bus Terminal, Donghae Coast Guard, and Donghae Educational Library, not only the residents but also strangers can find the church easily. Moreover, the temple with 650 seats has a good view of the eastern coast of Korea, so those who come to the church can be much comforted both physically and spiritually.

At the dedication worship service attended by neighboring Churches of God members, Mother prayed that the new temple would be filled with many souls who worship God rightly and love their families and neighbors as themselves.

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol who celebrated the dedication said, “There is always a moment to choose in our lives. No matter what difficulties we may face, if we choose the right way God has taught us, we will get a good result from it.” And he added with emphasis, “The role of the church is to shine the light of Mother diligently so that many people spiritually wandering in darkness can choose the right way” (Isa 60:1–14; 62:6–7; Eze 47:1–12).

As Donghae has many famous tourist attractions such as Mukhohang Harbor, Cheongok Cave, and Chuam Chotdaebawi Rock, it is a representative city for tourists in Gangwon Province, Korea. Considering such regional characteristics, the members from the Donghae Church constantly carry out volunteer services such as environmental cleanups around Mukhohang Harbor where many tourists visit, and snow-removing work to solve traffic obstruction during winter. As a result, the church received an award certificate from the Mayor of Donghae in 2014.

The church members expressed their firm will, “We will deliver constant love to our neighbors and shine the light of the truth over 1.5 million citizens in Gangwon Province as well as in Donghae City.”
