On August 13, all the press of Korea began to report the misery of flood: the southern parts of the country were ravaged by flood. To help the flood victims, the Whole Assembly of Church of God dispatched an official document to all branch churches:

"All the nation suffers from sudden heavy rains. As true Christians we are to share suffering and pain with our neighbors. Prepare all the equipments and expenses for yourselves not to burden the flood victims, and practice true love on the spots by considering their hearts in deep despair. And if there is a branch church which has difficulty in preparing all the expenses, the Whole Assembly would support it."
Following the will of the Whole Assembly, each branch church prepared food, vehicles, uniforms, every kind of equipment for itself, and 3,000 members volunteered restoration works in 7 flooded area such as Busan, Gimhae and Masan. The Department of Public Relations of the Whole Assembly adjusted them that proper services might be rendered on the spots.
