Church of God, World Mission Society, which had been well known for the positive voluntary service activities in the flooded areas, now positively participated in contribution. On September 12, the staffs of the Whole Assembly trusted a relief fund for flood victims to SBS (Seoul Broadcasting Station), saying, "We really hope the flood victims will overcome the trials." And all the branch churches raised money to share pains with the flood victims.
On September 10, Lee Gang-min the Director of Elohim Training Institute contributed to Youngdong, Chungbuk; on September 11, churches in Gangneung trusted a relief fund to Gangneung city which was extremely damaged by typhoon Rusa; on September 13, churches in Gwanak trusted a relief fund to KBS (Korea Broadcasting Station).
Besides, on September 13, churches in Busan, Churches in Gwangju and churches in Daegu trusted relief funds to KBS; and the churches in the flooded areas -Gimhae, Gimcheon, Masan, Jecheon, Donghae and Taebak- also collected contributions and trusted then to broadcasting stations.
On a KBS live broadcast program for collecting relief funds for flood victims, Pastor Park Jin-hee in Gwanak church was asked about 10,000 church members' voluntary activities in the flooded areas. He answered, "The inhabitants thanked us for our help, and we also were very happy to help them. We earnestly hope they will start again with strong wills." Pastor Pyo Gi-sang in Busan area showed his firm will, giving an interview to KBS: "We will not spare ourselves in helping the flood victims. We will pray to God earnestly for them." All the members of Church of God participated in the campaign for fund. Especially the members who saw the misery of the flooded areas with their own eyes were very positive in raising fund. We hope all the flood victims will feel our love and overcome the disaster.
